Deus Ex: Mankind Divided The First To Support HDR On The PS4 Via Patch

The latest Deus Ex: Mankind Divided patch is adding new content to the Breach mode, but more interestingly, they are adding in HDR to the Xbox One and PS4 versions. This makes the game the first to utilise HDR on the PS4- a feature that was just recently patched in for all PS4s via a software update. To experience HDR for the Xbox One, it requires an Xbox One S.

While in the review of the game, we highlighted that “the game generally looks great in certain angles, but look at it in the wrong way and you can see blemishes- low-res textures, some stiff animations, and performance dips.” HDR would enhance some lighting effects by making colours in the world either stand out more or have darker depths to it, which should add something to the experience. Though you will need an HDR capable TV to see any of these effects.

Other than that, there’s plenty of bug fixes in general. Head here for the console patch notes and here for the PC version.

No word yet on the announced DLC, System Rift, to be available for Asia via Playstation Store, but that should be available now on PC.
