Before we begin, what game is this you asked? Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an upcoming cyberpunk-themed action RPG game in the Deus Ex series. It is being developed by Eidos Montréal and will be published by Square Enix. It is a sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution but will take place before the events of Deus Ex.
According to OC3D, Nixxes has stated that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will run at 30FPS on consoles, but PC will remain unlocked. This means that the game will be focusing on high graphical fidelity over framerate, suggesting that the game will be fairly demanding on PC like many 30FPS console titles like Assassin’s Creed Unity and The Witcher 3.
One big hope for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on PC is that the game will scale well on a wide range of PC hardware, but we should learn more about the PC versions system requirements on the months or weeks leading to it’s launch on February 23rd.
Jean-François Dugas is an executive game director of Eidos Montreal for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided.
The question implies if PC were to be locked at 30fps as consoles.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on February 23rd 2016 and will support DirectX 12 on PC. Can’t wait for it!
