Deathloop – PC Specs Requirements, Pre-Load And Unlock Times

Arkane Studios’ next immersive sim with a time-loop, roguelike-ish twist Deathloop is nearly ready for release. And so publisher Bethesda has now shared the PC specs requirements as well when the exact timing you can pre-load and start playing the game.

First, the PC specs. You’ll need a beefy PC with a graphics card that has at least 10GB of VRAM if you’re looking to max the game at Ultra and 4K/60 fps settings. But even at the minimum specs of a 1080p/30 fps, it’s still quite the high requirement, with a graphics card with 6GB VRAM a requirement, and 12GB of RAM.

Deathloop is a proper next-gen title (it’s also available on PS5) and it shows on the specs requirement.

Here’s the full PC specs requirement for Deathloop:

Ultra 4K/ 60 fps, Ultra Settings:

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-10900K @ 3.70GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 (10GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16GB)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 30GB (SSD)

Recommended 1080/ 60 fps, High Settings:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5700 (8GB)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 30GB (SSD)

Minimum 1080p/ 30 fps, Low Settings:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Storage: 30GB (HDD)

Deathloop will have a Field Of View slider (65-110 degrees), UItrawide support and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) upscaling support on PC.

Deathloop pre-loads will begin on September 12, 1 PM EDT (September 13, 1 AM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT) and 48 hours before the game unlocks in your region for PS5.

PC players will have three different times of when Deathloop exactly unlocks:

  • North/South America: September 14, 12.01 AM ET
  • Australia, New Zealand, Asia: September 14, 12.01 JST (September 13, 11.01 PM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT)
  • Europe, Rest Of The World: September 14, 12.01 AM BST

For PS5, Deathloop will unlock exactly on September 14, 12AM in your timezone.

In Deathloop, you play as Colt as he has to endure an ever-repeating day stuck in the 1960s party island of Blackreef. The only way to break this time loop is to kill all the eight Visionaries in one day. Each of these targets has unique ways to exploit them, but one of them, Juliana, will actively hunt you down (and can also be an actual player).

Expect a similar variety of supernatural powers like Arkane’s past Dishonored games, but with more incentives to not play it lame for a total stealth run (though you possibly can still do that, if you want). But with no quick saves, it’s going to be a tall order. At least you can go out guns blazing, die, and repeat the loop and try again, with more knowledge of the world and game than before.

Deathloop releases on September 14 for the PS5 and PC (Steam).
