Dead Space Is Getting A Remake, Coming To Next-Gen Consoles And PC

The big reveal at the end of the 2021 EA Play Live broadcast is the reveal of a new Dead Space game.

The renowned survival horror game is getting a remake, developed by EA Motive. This is a complete rebuild from the ground up of the 2008 game by Visceral, powered by the Frostbite engine. It will only be available on next-gen consoles and PC.

EA promises an improved story, characters, gameplay mechanics from the original. But rest assured you will still be the engineer Isaac Clarke on board of the USG Ishimura space ship, where everyone is dead. Or are they?

The teaser should make fans happy. We see Issac’s rig (with the familiar glowing lights that functions as the UI for players), a glimpse of the horror you will face on the ship, the “cut of the limbs” sign written on a blueprint of the Plasma Cutter weapon as well as a haunting rendition of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”- just like the original had in their trailers.

No release date for the Dead Space remake yet, but it will be coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
