Dauntless, the free-to-play Monster Hunter-like hunting game, has exited open beta and is now released in full. The launch sees the game, initially being available on its own launcher on PC migrating to the Epic Games Store.
The switch to the Epic launcher is so that the game can run entirely with cross-platform play, on PS4 and Xbox One. Not only that, but progression also carries over from platform to platform. This is not just a one-time data migration, you can play on consoles on one day and play on PC on another, with shared progression.
The catch is you need to link your Epic Games account on the various platforms. A crucial guide on how to do so can be found here.
Developers Phoenix Labs is calling their cross-play and cross-platform initiative as One Dauntless.
Alongside the console and full release on PC comes a new Hunt Pass, their version of the Battle Pass seen in Fortnite. Season 5, Hidden Blades, features assassin-style cosmetics to unlock for the Elite Track. A list of unlocks and how it works can be found here.
Dauntless is now available on PS4 (but not on PS Store Asia yet at the time of writing), PC (Epic Games Store) and the Xbox One.
