EA’s second big remaster, Command & Remastered, now has a release date. Not only is the original game is being rebuilt with new graphics and supporting 4K resolution, the RTS classics is also getting support for multiplayer- with custom games, 1v1 quick match, Elo-based matchmaking, replays and other features all available.
Command & Conquer Remastered Collection includes the original Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn plus the Cover Ops expansion, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert plus the two expansions: Counterstrike and The Aftermath.
Two games, each with all the expansions.
The remaster is also taking fan feedback into account, with various quality of life improvements. And this is another EA game, like Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, that’s coming to Steam as well as Origin. User-generated content is supported, so that could mean at least custom, shareable maps, and hopefully, mod support.
The remaster is being developed by Petroglyph, a team founded by ex-Westwood Studios that made the original games, and Malaysian-based co-developer Lemon Sky Studios.
Command & Remastered Collection launches on June 5th on PC via Steam and Origin. It’s also included in Origin Access Premier, EA’s monthly games subscription service.
