Did you know, the devs that made Left 4 Dead is Back 4 Blood? Turtle Rock Studios’ spiritual successor to its most successful co-op shooter is coming out later this October, but everyone can give the game a try in its upcoming open beta.
The open beta will start on August 12, 12 PM PT (August 13, 3 AM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT) and ends on August 16. Players who have pre-ordered (or got access to the earlier Alpha test) gets early access to the open beta. This runs from August 5-9.
The beta will be on all platforms (PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S) and will have cross-play enabled.
The open beta will let you play as five different Cleaners (characters), access to a variety of weapons and the new feature for Back 4 Blood- cards and deck-building. There are two co-op (PvE) maps and two PvP maps, plus the ability to explore Fort Hope.
Progress will reset after the open beta.
If you’re curious if Turtle Rock can make a better Left 4 Dead (and hopefully not another Evolve), why not try the beta. Bring a friend or three as well.
Back 4 Blood will be out on October 12 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be on Xbox Game Pass on launch.
