Kalypso Media has announced two classic icons that dominated the Real Time Tactics genre in 1998 has returned for HD remastered version.
The trailer includes a featurette of the Pyro Studios founder regarding the critically acclaimed series that are praised for its challenging stealth-based strategy, interactive environment as well as controlling a small group of soldiers with various unique abilities.
Players usually play across isometric maps (which heavily influenced Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun) and need to complete missions ranging from sabotaging, infiltration or assassination.
Kalypso who are well known for the Tropico series has acquired the IP rights for Pyro Studios classic titles – including Praetorians. Both games will have tremendous graphical improvements as well as reworked controls, and a better UI.
Commandos 2 HD Remastered and Praetorian HD Remastered will be available on PC, Linux, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iPad. The launch for both titles is planned for Q4 2019.
