Call Of Duty: Vanguard Revisit A Gritter World War 2 Setting With New Cast Of Characters

So it is official, Activision and Sledgehammer games are returning to World War 2 with their latest Call of Duty title, Vanguard.

It’s main story campaign will be focusing on four main characters that are pivotal within the theater of wars like North Africa, the Western and Pacific sides, which formed the basis of the modern day Special Forces.

The multiplayer mode will see the game launch with 20 maps, plus a new mode called Champion’s Hill (a mini battle royale-esque mode) and will also be integrated with Warzone, as they’ll be launching a new map during the game’s launch window, fully inspired by this game.

Zombies mode also returns, with Treyarch doing the mode once again. I personally hope their Outbreak mode gets retained into Vanguard, as that as more depth than the usual Zombies formula but only time will tell if they stuck with this concept.

Call of Duty Vanguard will be releasing for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, along with PC via Battle.net on November 5.
