Call Of Duty Mobile launches today, local publisher Garena announced. They are publishing the Tencent Timi Studios-developed mobile game for Southeast Asia.
The mobile take on the seminal FPS series features some familiar modes. Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy and Domination are the usual multiplayer experience, with Gun Game and Free-For-All modes coming in soon. There is also a battle royale mode (of course) with a class system, and a Zombies mode.
It takes a lot of pages from Call Of Duty, as you might have expected. From the score system to the returning characters and maps, if you’re familiar with the franchise you’ll definitely feel like home.
Garena also announced that over 500,000 users that pre-registered for the game in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Those that pre-register will, as you would expect from a mobile game, getting free goodies.
Call Of Duty Mobile is available for iOS and Android. We have our first impressions of the closed beta here if you need to read more thoughts before downloading it.
