So, we finally get a peek on what to expect when the next Call of Duty drops later in October, and it includes another conspiracy-led story campaign, a new movement set for all of their modes and returning to basics in Zombies.
The campaign will see the players experience the chaos that is shadowy forces infritrating the government and its up to our main protagonist, Troy Marshall, his mentor, the fan favorite Frank Woods, and their team to uncover the truth behind the conspiracies that’s set during the Gulf War in the 90s, with returning elements for the campaign include the Safe House, Evidence Board and even dialogue choices are set to appear from Black Ops Cold War.
One big feature that Treyarch has been talking about is the new movement system called Omnimovement, where players can sprint, slide, and dive in any direction. All 360 degrees of motion that we haven’t seen since Rockstar’s Max Payne 3. And one niche option is the fact that you can now edit the HUD to whichever position you want, or minimize the clutter on the screen in a new way.
Content at launch will see players expecting 16 brand new Multiplayer maps on launch, that includes 12 Core 6v6 maps and four small-sized Strike maps, the latter are locations designed to be played in 2v2 or Face Off 6v6 matches.
And now we get to Zombies, where the return to 4 character, round-based zombies mode has been confirmed. With brand-new maps at launch, and an impressive number of easter eggs to discover at launch.
That’s it for the content drop for now, as the Worldwide Multiplayer Reveal event is set at Call of Duty NEXT, on August 28, which directly leads towards the opening of the MP Beta.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on October 25 on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, along with PC.
