Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon, A 2D Metroidvania Game, Out Now

A stretch goal game for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

In 2015, Koji Igarashi, creator of the Castlevania series, launched a Kickstarter for a new Metroidvania (“IGA-Vania” as they like to call) game called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It will be a 2.5D (3D assets but movements is only 2D) experience that should please fans of the genre.

As one of the stretch goals, the developers, Inti Creates, will also make a 2D prequel mini-game with pixel artstyle, in vein of the Castlevania games on the NES and SNES titles. That game, Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon is out now.

This is not the main Bloodstained game as promised in the Kickstarter, but backers at the $28 USD tier will be getting it for free. In addition, the game is also available to everyone to purchase as well.

It is now available on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3Ds, PS Vita and PC via Steam. On Steam, it’s only RM23.50.
