Battleborn, Gearbox’s ambitious first-person MOBA, is now taking slow steps to go offline. Or “sunsetting”, as it is commonly referred to.
The Battleborn Twitter account confirms this process is now in progress. The game is now delisted from all digital stores.
[1/3] Today we have begun the process of gradually sunsetting Battleborn. Starting February 24, 2020, you will no longer be able to purchase virtual currency for use in the game.

After February 24th, all premium currency purchases will no longer be available. Servers will officially go offline on January 21st, 2021, so it’s still a while until the game is deemed unplayable.
Battleborn was an okay take on the MOBA genre, but suffered due to its release date being close to Overwatch, which was a more appealing team shooter.
Developers Gearbox should still be okay, considering their latest game, Borderlands 3, is really good and is selling well.
