eGG won’t stop as just a tournament channel, as Vice President of Sports at Astro, Lee Choong Khay, is looking forward to partner up with developers to “bring live top tier global tournaments and on demand content featuring pubstomps, gaming walkthrough, expert guides, documentaries, game house tours and weekly highlights.”
So, what has conviced Astro to go ahead with the channel launch? The audience numbers who watch e-sports is huge, expecting to be 218 million worldwide by the end of 2016.
This is will immensely help the booming video game community in the country. Our local boys have been performing well in e-sports. We have world-class Dota teams, and many other teams up and coming in a variety of games.
