Good news, Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) has confirmed that Bethesda’s sequel to survival horror game The Evil Within 2 will be out in Malaysia on the same date as announced back at E3– Friday, the 13th October. It’s such a good date to release a horror game.
Developed by Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within 2 takes the horror to an open world, or at least a bit more open-ended than most survival horror games. Shinji Mikami, the man behind Resident Evil 4 and director of the first The Evil Within, remains with the development team, now as producer. But don’t worry, based one of the new trailers it still has its spooks.
Bethesda has a spotty record on bringing their games to Asia’s Playstation Store. The demo for Prey, and the eventual game, was out a bit late and a newly announced Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y. edition has yet to appear in the storefront at time of writing. However, Dishonored’s latest standalone, Death To The Outsider, was released the same date as its announced global release.
Retail copies will be priced at RM229 in Malaysia, but no specifics were given on a digital version. So if you want to pick up early, the safest bet is pre-ordering at your local retailers.
