4X Game Songs Of Silence Releasing In Spring 2024

Chimera Entertainment revealed a new trailer for its strategy 4X game Songs Of Silence, expected to release in Spring 2024.

The new trailer, revealed at the PC Gaming Show Most Wanted 2023 livestream, shows a bit of gameplay, which includes hex-based map movement and a seperate map for combat. Combat, which is played in real-time, essentially like an RTS, will see players arrange units to form a garrison, an army and a reserves line.

There is a card system, which is not only used for combat units, but are used for actions on the world map as well.

The big draw of Songs Of Silence is its presentation. The Art Nouveau artstyle inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha is paired with an orchestral soundtrack composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII).

Chimera Entertainment’s biggest game so far was the mobile RPG Angry Birds Epic. Though the 65-people development team have dabbled with releasing games on PC since their inception in 2006.

Songs Of Silence has a demo available right now on the game’s Steam page here.

Songs Of Silence will be released first on PC (Steam, GOG, Humble Store) sometime in Spring (Q2) 2024, and later to consoles.
