Frostpunk, the very good city builder game, is not done with the finished product just yet. It has been mentioned earlier right after launch, which sold 25,000 copies in 66 hours, and now developers 11 Bit Studios are ready to talk about it.
Five new additional content will be added, two of them are new modes (including the much-needed sandbox mode), one new scenario- bringing the total to 4 and other new features, completely free.
As seen in the image, the new content is as follows:
- Survivor (New Mode)
- People And Automatons (Basic Customisation)
- The Builders (New Scenario)
- Endurance (i.e. sandbox mode- New Mode)
- Winter Snapshots (Photo Mode, but with “surprises”)
Survivor, the new mode that will have special modifiers to keep the city survive even harder, will be out in June. The updates as well as bug-fixing patches will be rolling out until the end of the year. But the developers teased that there will still be more content coming in 2019.
Frostpunk is out now on PC. We have reviewed the game, calling it “an exceptional experience to rival any of the best city builders out there.“
