A rule of thumb in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series is to have all the mainline protagonist in the roster. And so we see our emo boy that one day will be king, Noctis Lucis Caelum, makes his debut in the Dissidia series.
In this new trailer shown at Sony’s press conference at Tokyo Game Show 2017, Noctis gets a bit of screen time at the end, showing him utilising the many weapons he can conjure at moments notice.
Also in the trailer is a revamped HUD. Dissidia caught a lot flak due to its busy UI and this trailer has cut down a lot of fluff from the previous videos. A lot of the info are still there, and you might not notice the change at first glance, but [...]
If you happen to get access to the beta of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT happening this week, then congrats! However, jumping into the game blind will make for a miserable experience. This isn’t as straightforward as any normal fighting game. Here’s some five tips to help you get a grasp with the battle system and gain the upper edge.
Bravery Attacks Are Your Bread And Butter
Each match last four minutes, the first team to take down three opponents wins. In order to do HP damage to your opponent, you need to rack up Bravery Points, the big number you will see on the bottom. From the initial 1000 points, you need to rack up as much of the Bravery Points and then [...]
Dissidia Final Fantasy is an interesting little series that started from the PSP. Imagine all the heroes and villains from each mainline Final Fantasy entry brawl it out like a mix of fighting game and action-RPG mechanics. Two years ago the series made the jump into the arcade, rebooting the series with a focus on more battle mechanics than RPG mechanics.
Now PS4 players will get a taste of it with a home release. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be coming out in early 2018. The game is being helmed by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja (of Nioh and Dead Or Alive fame).
Check out the first trailer here:
According to Gematsu, the NT stands for “New Tale,” “New Trial,” [...]
Nioh was first announced as a PS3 exclusive game in, but after years and years of it being in limbo, Nioh will finally be a game ready to be released. As the Alpha Test and the recent Beta Test shows, developers Team Ninja are finally getting the game together into a potentially interesting take of the Dark Souls formula.
As announced during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference, Koei Tecmo will release the game on February 9 2017 as a PS4 exclusive title. This is a worldwide release, something to note of as certain games made in Japan still adhere to having localization efforts made separately, thus having the [...]
So, about that Nioh Alpha Demo. Did you gave it a go? Did you send some feedback over developers Team Ninja? Apparently they are hard work in fine-tuning the Dark Souls-inspired action RPG that was announced way back in 2004.
The upcoming Beta Demo will arrive on August 23, and will be available for a limited time. September 6 is the cut off date for that.
Players will be able to explore and all new stage as Geralt of Rivia William Adams, and a new dojo stage that acts as a practice lab to learn the combat systems.
It would be interesting to see how [...]
Feudal Japan themed hack-and-slasher Nioh will finally see a light of day when it will be released sometime in 2016. Initially started production in 2004 and was supposedly a PS3-exclusive game, Ni-Oh had been long in development by developers Team Ninja, famous for the Ninja Gaiden and Dead Or Alive series. The game is now retitled slightly (the hyphens are gone) and now a PS4-exclusive.
To mark the occasion, Nioh will release what it called an “Alpha Demo”. Basically, it should function like a demo (because demos are mostly replaced by beta tests). Why Alpha tests? Conventional knowledge would mean that [...]
