Square Enix’s latest announcement Left Alive left us intrigued. It’s a new game with an assemble of veteran developers of various well-loved franchises, described as a “survival action shooter”.
Today another teaser is shown with what possibly is gameplay footage, showing one of the characters that appeared in Yoji Shinkawa’s art, and then cuts into bits of on-foot third-person shooter gameplay. We know that the game will involve mechs, but Left Alive will not just be a game controlling them it seems.
Left Alive is set to be out in 2018 for the PS4 and PC.
One big announcement from Sony’s press conference for Tokyo Game Show 2017 is the announcement of Final Fantasy IX being re-released on PS4. The last of the mainline series on the PS1, and the one of the most faithful in tone to the earlier numbered titles of the past was rumoured to have this re-release, and now it was confirmed.
The game was made available right after the announcement, and thankfully Asia’s Playstation Store is also getting it, albeit one day later. It is currently sold for RM52.80- 20% discount from RM66 for this week only.

A rule of thumb in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series is to have all the mainline protagonist in the roster. And so we see our emo boy that one day will be king, Noctis Lucis Caelum, makes his debut in the Dissidia series.
In this new trailer shown at Sony’s press conference at Tokyo Game Show 2017, Noctis gets a bit of screen time at the end, showing him utilising the many weapons he can conjure at moments notice.
Also in the trailer is a revamped HUD. Dissidia caught a lot flak due to its busy UI and this trailer has cut down a lot of fluff from the previous videos. A lot of the info are still there, and you might not notice the change at first glance, but [...]
Square Enix revealed a new title called Left Alive at the Playstation Pre-Tokyo Game Show Conference earlier today and it looks to be an interesting one.
Nothing was really shown with the cinematic trailer for the aspect of gameplay but it looks beautiful and the guys working behind this project is nothing less than impressive.
Yoji Shinkawa of Metal Gear Solid fame is the game artist, with the help of producer Shinji Hashimoto, whose CV consist of producing many of SE great titles, and Toshifumi Nabeshima of Armored Cored V is the director, which leads to believe why there’s mech in the cinematic trailer.
Nothing else is known about the game apart that [...]
