Titanfall 2 is the game that keeps on giving. It has a pretty solid single-player campaign on launch, multiplayer is constantly updated with free maps and now the game has an extra new mode, or free.
The new mode, Frontier Defense, is a four-player co-op mode where you have to defend your Harvester against five waves of enemies. It’s essentially a take on Gears of War’s Horde mode but with some twists.
You will also gain Aegis Ranks for your Titans in this mode, which will unlock more abilities exclusive for Frontier Defense. There will be three difficulty tier as well as an extra Insane difficulty for those who want to test themselves.

Titanfall 2 is among the many EA games that are not doing Season Passes anymore. Instead they are promising free content updates for the adrenaline-rush FPS with mechs. As they did a few months back with the Angel City’s Most Wanted DLC (which coincides its free weekend offer), Titanfall 2 is getting another new mode.
The new mode focuses on just the Pilots, which is mobile enough to pull off wall ride, slides and parkour- all while shooting guns. The mode is called Live Fire and will include two new maps built specific for this mode.
Here’s the excerpt of developers Respawn Entertainment explaining about Live Fire mode:
“A round-based best of 5 mode [...]
Another weekend, another big game doing a free weekend. It’s a good trend, considering demos have become rarer these days. Starting December 2, prepare for titanfall as Titanfall 2 can be played by anyone with a PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The “Free Multiplayer Trial”, as it is called, will only limit you to the multiplayer portion of the game, but all content is accessible including the new addition from their first free DLC offering set to release on December 3.
Progress will be saved and carried over, should you decide to buy it later on. The trial starts early for EA [...]
Titanfall was the premier FPS for the Xbox One that had sold the idea of a next-generation console. Aim-down-sights based shooter with ridiculous mobility, big mechs called Titans that can be summoned and piloted, NPC grunts to shoot about to make the battlefield more dense and easy pickings.
But Respawn Entertainment’s first game fizzled out immediately. The Xbox One did not sell as well as Sony’s PS4. Using the old method of DLC by charging for new maps and game modes split an already small community. Add the negative point of a $60 multiplayer-only title and Titanfall did not last long, despite picking up [...]
Just in a few minutes before the EA Play press event starts, EA just ousted this new trailer for Titanfall 2, the sci-fi FPS with mechs. Now we are seeing a generous amount of gameplay footage. This time with a confirmed single-player.
Check out the trailer here:
Looking good with that solid 60 FPS.In addition, there’s also the multiplayer trailer, showing new abilities and weapons.
Titanfall hits the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 26 of this year.
Respawn Entertainment, the studio made by ex-Call Of Duty developers, has announced that they are working on a Star Wars game with EA. In a blog post on the dev’s site, the game will be a third-person shooter helmed by Stig Asmussen, who once led the development of God of War III. No other info is provided on what the game is, even a working title of some sort, other than Respawn is currently hiring. Understandable, as they are also working on the sequel to Titanfall which they have announced and teased months back.
In a separate blog post by EA, Respawn is joining the many other developers currently working on a [...]
