After a torturous wait, NieR Automata is now available to purchase on our local Steam Storefront for a hefty price of RM 249, just like the price when the game first release! YAY!
So the price,I get that the publisher and/or developer wanting to break even with the pricing and all but it is quite expensive considering that a new DLC is coming next week. Anyway, the game is now available to buy now, so you don’t need to find a third party key.
You can view/buy the game here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/524220/NieRAutomata/
At the time of writing, it’s now the 25th of April, 2017. Only five more days till the end of April and a week until the release of the latest DLC, 3C3C1D119440927, for PS4 and PC. And yet, we in South East Asia, Hong Kong and even South Korea haven’t seen any update on whether NieR Automata is going to be available on our Steam storefront anytime soon.
The question that is on everyone’s mind is simple:
Is it because of Piracy? Maybe. The folks at 3DM could crack DRM fast if they can find an exploit. But punishing all the other countries simply for that [...]
The man. The myth. The legend.
Yoko Taro has significantly grown in influence with the success of Nier: Automata (which has surpassed 1 million in sales), and his eccentric demeanour has been fun to watch. From rolling on the floor excited with Automata’s pre-order T-shirt to approving the work of fanart by the community, even lewd ones,
And that continues with toco toco TV’s interview. We see him doing some work, playing games at work, playing games at home, and visit a local spot in Osaka housing numerous pinball machines. All with his now iconic mask on. (Apparently there’s a small hole that could fit a straw inside that mask, and there’s not [...]
Good news for fans of the NieR series, NieR Automata has exceeded 1 million copies in shipment and digital sales, as confirmed in this statement by Square Enix.
Quite an achievement considering the original NieR only sold around 290k copies back in 2010. This even made the series director, Yoko Taro, every emotional!
Here’s to more success to this series! And we can’t wait to purchase it when the Asian Steam release of NieR:Automata comes out sometime in April. But it is available now for PS4 and some of the region on Steam.
NieR:Automata created by Platinum Games and Square Enix is a great game with a lot of versatility in combo hack and slash which is the dream of any other hack and slash game (Those who want to know more about NieR, we got your back, read here ). However, the Pc-port version of NieR:Automata had been reported fps drop issues from mid 20-30 FPS plus, Pc enthusiast with “Bangsawan” build probably offended by the game that limiting the full potential of their gaming Pc.
Thus, resulting the fan stepping up by giving us a downloadable patch. <download patch >
What the patch does is providing us 1080p resolution instead of a stretch [...]
After a tense few weeks leading up to the Steam release of NieR:Automata on March 17, the Japanese NieR PR Account on Twitter has confirmed the official release date for us living in Asia.
Another month of waiting then, but in all honestly, it’s pretty unprofessional and quite often unsurprising from the likes of the developers to delay their PC products for their own market, since they know the PC market in Japan isn’t as profitable as in the West. But anyway, at least we can legally buy the game when it comes to our digital stores in April.
NieR:Automata is avaliable now for PS4 and in some regions on Steam.
