One big announcement from Sony’s press conference for Tokyo Game Show 2017 is the announcement of Final Fantasy IX being re-released on PS4. The last of the mainline series on the PS1, and the one of the most faithful in tone to the earlier numbered titles of the past was rumoured to have this re-release, and now it was confirmed.
The game was made available right after the announcement, and thankfully Asia’s Playstation Store is also getting it, albeit one day later. It is currently sold for RM52.80- 20% discount from RM66 for this week only.
This should be something similar to the Steam release that was available last year.
It’s interesting to [...]
A rule of thumb in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series is to have all the mainline protagonist in the roster. And so we see our emo boy that one day will be king, Noctis Lucis Caelum, makes his debut in the Dissidia series.
In this new trailer shown at Sony’s press conference at Tokyo Game Show 2017, Noctis gets a bit of screen time at the end, showing him utilising the many weapons he can conjure at moments notice.
Also in the trailer is a revamped HUD. Dissidia caught a lot flak due to its busy UI and this trailer has cut down a lot of fluff from the previous videos. A lot of the info are still there, and you might not notice the change at first glance, but [...]
If you happen to get access to the beta of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT happening this week, then congrats! However, jumping into the game blind will make for a miserable experience. This isn’t as straightforward as any normal fighting game. Here’s some five tips to help you get a grasp with the battle system and gain the upper edge.
Bravery Attacks Are Your Bread And Butter
Each match last four minutes, the first team to take down three opponents wins. In order to do HP damage to your opponent, you need to rack up Bravery Points, the big number you will see on the bottom. From the initial 1000 points, you need to rack up as much of the Bravery Points and then [...]
To no one’s surprise, Final Fantasy XV is now confirmed to be heading to PC. Revealed on Nvidia’s scheduled broadcast for gamescom, the action RPG featuring four boys easily passed as anime boyband members embark on a journey to reclaim the throne of their kingdom. It starts all cheery and fun, but the road trip eventually gets serious.
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition, as it’s called, will include all the current DLCs in the season pass, and will see the game supporting up to 4K resolution and HDR.
Check out the trailer below:
This is not a total surprise, Game Director Hajime Tabata has openly spoken about the idea of a PC port, several [...]
The three-on-three brawler from Square Enix and Team Ninja has been on Japanese arcades for years and is now set for a worldwide release on consoles. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT now has a release date: January 30, 2018.
Talk about releasing on early 2018.
Unlike the RPG series, Dissidia is a 3D arena brawler. It also plays a bit differently from the previous Dissidia games on the PSP. You can check out this tutorial video that breaks down how the gameplay works.
With the upcoming console- a PS4 exclusive for the time being- more characters will be added for both the arcade and console release. The latest to be announced is Final Fantasy X’s Jecht, acting [...]
Who’s your daddy? Jecht, the pro blitzball player and father to the whiny but loveable hero of Final Fantasy X, Tidus, joins the Dissidia Final Fantasy roster. Those familiar with the series might have already seen him in action in previous titles, but last week he was announced to join the latest Dissidia, now in arcades and will appear on the PS4 as Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
And what better way to show him off then a trailer of him beating his own son at what it seems to be a stage based on Besaid Island with that one rocking soundtrack from FFX playing. No wonder Tidus has daddy issues.
No date when Jecht will be available for the arcades, but expect him to [...]
