Wan Hazmer is just one loveable dude. He’s friendly with the crowd and very easy to approach. Throughout the whole day where PSX SEA 2017 took place it’s safe to say you could see him mostly smiling. That’s our Malaysian hero alright- the person in Square Enix that designed the towns in Final Fantasy XV, though we mostly knew him as the guy that brought roti canai into the game.
The media presentation had a pretty casual setup. We could interrupt and ask him questions anytime, though that caused the topic of roti canai and Malaysian food kept being brought up, unfortunately. But he was there not to talk about adding more Malaysian food, but as the lead [...]
Remember when Final Fantasy XV showed the new invincible suits that resembled a bit like the suits in the new Power Rangers movie and it had to be redesigned and delayed?
Well, it’s out now and it looks totally different. No more colour schemes, they are now just ornate looking suits that would look in place with the enemy Niflheim empire. Fitting, since their whole army is powered by Magitek.
The invincible suits, expected to launch with the booster pack DLC, is now free for everyone alongside the new version 1.13 update. Here’s the patch notes:New quest(s) have been added to Meldacio Hunter HQ (after Chapter 8). A new ally cooperation system called [...]
One of the promised content for Final Fantasy XV’s season pass is an online co-op multiplayer mode. Game Director Hajime Tabata has spoken before he envisioned the multiplayer mode would be, with the inclusion of custom avatars.
To prepare for the online multiplayer mode, titled Comrades, a beta test will be conducted which is expected to run from August 3 to August 8. Only season pass owners with a subscription to PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold can join in however.
As expected, you can create your own avatars, and explore the open world with friends. There will be various weapons to wield- some with different attack patterns from how Noctis used in the main game, [...]
This is may seem like an odd collaboration, but boy are we glad this exist. Forza Horizon 3 will add the Regalia- the trademark car that the four boys in Final Fantasy XV.
Forza Horizon 3 has included cars from other games before- working with 343 Industries to include Halo’s Warthog and the fictional car based on Fallout, so this shouldn’t be too surprising. But no one would expect Square Enix of all people to be on board in this collaboration. And here we are.
In building the Regalia for Forza Horizon 3, the team at Turn 10 and Playground had to do some guesswork on how the performance would translate in real life- with Square Enix providing a lot of data [...]
Final Fantasy XV’s next story DLC, Episode Prompto is coming out real soon. Next week, to be accurate. This is the third piece of content tied to the Season Pass and will let you play as the wise-cracking gunslinger Prompto as he embarks on a personal journey.
Episode Prompto will fill in the gap when he ‘left’ the party during the train ride sequence leading to the end of the game. The way he left was one emotionally charged scene, if you were able to notice the subtle storytelling, which sets up a harrowing journey for our otherwise cheery party member.
As for gameplay, expect to see Prompto shooting many people with guns either with a third-person [...]
Final Fantasy XV continues to be worked on. The latest update to land for this month is a mostly a minor one, an addition of one new recipe: “stinky tofu” (thank the survey answers from players of Taiwan for this), leaderboards for the Timed Quests, a new snapshot winner added into the game and various bug fixes. Additionally, a new outfit for Noctis will appear seperately on the Playstaion Store on May 30, pictured above.
The most peculiar of additions in the update however is a survey located in the Special section of the main menu. It simply asks you what sort of future content you are looking forward to, with high votes to be considered for future [...]
