Need For Speed Payback gets a new trailer for gamescom 2017, showing off how cop chases work this time around. If you love the cop chases back in Most Wanted and the gadgets the law can use on you in Hot Pursuit 2010, then you should feel right home in this trailer. The EMP is a bit more subtle this time but its impact is more dramatic- listen to the panicking character chatter. (The official site states that it is a Killswitch)The good old Rhino SUVs that would ram you off without remorse are now armoured vans now, which is a sensible change. Fans of the series should also find sentimental value looking at a Chevrolet Corvette in police livery again.
The brown car being [...]
Bioware has recently released a statement about the future of Mass Effect: Andromeda, and it looks like it’s pretty grim as we all expected.
Update 1.10 will be the last issued update for the troubled RPG shooter with no more planned patches for the single-player. All story content will instead be explored in other mediums such as comics and novels. The end of Andromeda teased a storyline that could possibly be made as DLC, but it looks like that will not happen. Multiplayer will continue to be updated with more characters and content.
It’s unfortunate, but we all have seen the writing on the wall. Bioware Montreal has been scaled down from a full production [...]
If you like min-maxing your tuning settings in Need For Speed 2015, you’ll understand the struggle. Tweak the settings, go outside (and wait for a loading screen), drive a bit then go back to the garage (and another loading screen), go back into the menus to tweak a bit of the sliders. It’s a hassle, to say the least. The new installment will address this issue by giving you the freedom to tweak the car settings, anytime on the road. The live tuning eschews realism for convenience, and it’s probably a good trade.
Interestingly, since cars in Payback are now grouped into classes, the sliders available will depend on what class. Drift cars have the option to [...]
The more we know about Need For Speed Payback, the harder it is to not compare the game with Ubisoft’s The Crew. The last trailer of the game showcases how performance parts work and Derelicts to collect, which feels oddly familiar. Now we know that cars will fall into several classes, each suited for a specific driving style.
The cars in Need For Speed Payback can fall into five different classes- Race (the all-rounder classe), Drag (ludicrous fast on straights), Drift (for driving in style) and new to the series: Off-Road (good for bumpy roads, off roads, and big jumps). The last one, Runner, is “for a special type of job”. Cars in Runner class will have a [...]
The Sims is one legendary series. It’s the first mainstream hit on PC that proved there is a market for casual gamers before the rise of games on Facebook and mobile devices. For seventeen years the doll house simulator keeps on going, the latest edition on PC, The Sims 4, is still getting new updates and paid DLC to this day.
And now we finally get the game coming to consoles.
The Sims have its roots on the PC, it has dabbled with console releases, which takes some liberties when it comes to how it handled gameplay and content. There were even console exclusive releases that brought new gameplay to the series.
But with The Sims 4, the console edition will [...]
Need For Speed might be taking a different turn again with Payback as they are doubling down on cinematic action sequences, but it will keep one fan-favourite feature in tact: customisation. There is a strong fanbase for visual customisation options on cars ever since the series embraced that idea in Need For Speed Underground, and looks like they have made improvements from the 2015 reboot.
This new trailer showcases some new variety of parts- more ducktail spoilers and wheelie bars are seen. And a new tweet from the official Twitter confirmed that neon underglow is making a return.
We heard you had a thing for neon lights, check back tomorrow for [...]
