The ASUS ROG Zephyrous GX501, the world’s slimmest gaming laptop with an Nvidia GTX 1080, is now here in Malaysia. The big selling point here is how slim it is despite packing a 7th-gen Intel i7 processor and a GTX 1080. It’s only 16.9-17.9mm thick and is using Nvidia’s Max-Q design to achieve this.
The thickness isn’t one definite number as the laptop expands its lower chassis once the lid is open to allow airflow. The keyboards are all laid out on the edge, presumably for cooling reasons. The monitor also supports 120Hz refresh rate and supports G-Sync.Here is the full specs: Intel i7-7700HQ Processor Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB+16GB DDR4 RAM 1TB M.2 [...]
Cat person, Hearthstone enthusiast and lowest body fat percentage in Azeroth. Chains and ice excite the Nexus’ newest combatant, Kel’Thuzad. Review code courtesy of Blizzard Entertainment
Kel’Thuzad, bromodachi of the Lich King and master of the Dread Necropolis Naxxramas, arrives in the Nexus September 5th. He’s a ranged assassin, with an array of skills to immobilize enemy heroes and make them take more damage. His passive quest, Master of the Cold Dark, rewards you for playing him as intended by reducing spell cooldown and, later in the game, giving a huge power surge to your spells. Ambush interlopers for maximum efficiency, and you [...]
This weekend, I got to try out Kel’Thuzad, Lich Lord of the Plaguelands, as he enters the nexus in Heroes of the Storm. He is classified as a Ranged Assassin character, meaning high-damage, decent range and many interesting skills to expend to get him those sweet, sweet kills. Thanks again to Blizzard for the code, allowing me a chance to write this first impressions
Kel’Thuzad confirms all my biggest fears, namely that there’s an ice skeleton waiting in the bushes to chain me to a nearby turret. With a squishy amount of health, long range and utilitarian skills, the Lord of Naxxramas is a great ambush character. His second skill, Frost Nova, roots [...]
The good people at Capcom have dropped a new trailer for the widely-anticipated Monster Hunter: World today. It features a new area, the Wildspire Wastes as well as a first look at some new monsters, on top of announcing the return of cool older wise.
Structurally, the Wildspire Wastes fulfills the mandatory “desert zone” requirement of every Monster Hunter game. These maps contain areas of extreme heat, which gradually drain health unless you stock up on cold drinks beforehand. The wastes also seem to have a muddy zone, the function of which we’ll get into later.
The main monster shown off is a returning Baroth. This large brute wyvern has a giant [...]
When it was first announced a few months back, the Acer Predator Helios 300 is poised the sweet spot between the RM3,000-RM4,000 budget gaming laptop and the RM7,000+ premium gaming laptops. Today marks its arrival to the Malaysian market, priced at a cool RM5,999.
What makes the Helios 300 different from the past Predator laptops is its more compact size and slightly weaker internals, which is still a stronger package than the current budget gaming laptop line in the market. Thus, the more affordable pricing.
For Malaysia, it seems we will only get one version which has a 15.6′ screen. Here’s the full specs:Intel Core i7-7700HQ Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 [...]
