The saga has ended rather abruptly for the Fight of Gods controversy. From the banning of Steam for many Malaysians to what’s happening now.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will be asking Valve to disable downloads for Malaysians to the Early Access title Fight of Gods over complains from many local religious leaders due to the usage of religious icons, which the leaders say is degrading towards religion as a whole.

Did you know that Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) is sponsoring an esports tournament? It shouldn’t be surprising nowadays as a lot of non-endemic brands in Malaysia are dipping their toes into the gamer market. GSC Cyber Games 2017 is the first esports tournament they have done, in collaboration with Garena Malaysia. The 3V3 FIFA Online 3 tournament have attracted 64 teams, all competing for a piece of the RM20,000 prize pool.
The finals will see four of the 64 teams making through- two from the Central Qualifier, and one each from the Northern Qualifier and East Coast Qualifier. The finals will be shown at the big screen- the GSC Maxx screen to be precise.
