Tekken Bowl Is The First New DLC For Tekken 7

Let’s go bowling! Bandai Namco has announced that the fun game mode first seen in Tekken Tag Tournament will make a return to Tekken 7 as DLC. In Ultimate Tekken Bowl, you can now bring the roster of characters into a game of bowling. While bowling mini-games might be a sour spot for some players who played a lot of Grand Theft Auto IV, when Tekken Bowl first appeared 17 years ago it was one of the most fleshed out mini-games in the series. Not to mention fun.

This new trailer showcases a bit of gameplay from the new mode, though it’s mostly just footage of series director Katsuhiro Harada showcasing his bowling skills (and how well he can imitate Paul Phoenix). Have a look:

If you didn’t catch the final stinger, the slow-mo cam seen in Tekken 7 will appear in Tekken Bowl. This should make getting the most difficult of spares more hyped than ever. Ultimate Tekken Bowl will be out in August.

In our review of Tekken 7, one issue we found with the game is that it doesn’t have enough variety of game modes. It was expected that a new mode will be coming as DLC this summer as detailed in the Season Pass tease.  The next rollout of content should be more costumes and two guest characters to be added.
